‘Titans’ TV Series Casting Call Hints At Trigon

Trigons Titans

Trigons TitansDC’s upcoming live-action Titans series may be featuring Trigon according to a recently released casting call. Trigon is best known as the father of Raven, who will also appear in the show. The casting call in question doesn’t explicitly mention Trigon, as they’d most likely want to keep his identity a secret.

Thanks to the Titans Podcast, we were able to get an explicit description of the casting call, with all signs pointing to the character in question being Trigon thanks to the description:

[EVAN LOGUE]: Male, Late 30s-40s, Caucasian. Charismatic. A cult leader attempting to reunite his family. Central role for series finale. RECURRING GUEST STAR. Please submit star/cameo names. Casting early for wardrobe but the role works Ep. 111 (04/09-04/19) and Ep. 112 (04/19 – 05/01)

It’s interesting to note that the character will only appear in the final two episodes of the show’s first season, which signals that the character could become much more prominent in the show’s second season if it’s renewed.

This news comes right after the casting of Arella, who is the mother of Raven. With this information, it’s not too far-fetched to assume that Raven may be the central player in the show or her heritage is important to the show’s overarching plot.

Titans follows a group of young superheroes from all over the DC Universe as Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless team known as the Titans. The series was written by DC creative chief officer Geoff Johns, Akiva Goldsman and Greg Berlanti. The Machinist helmer Brad Anderson is directing the pilot. Brenton Thwaites will be playing Robin, while Starfire (Anna Diop), Raven (Teagan Croft), and Beast Boy (Ryan Potter) will also be joining the cast, as well as Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly who will also appear in the roles of Hawk and Dove.

The series is set to premiere its 13-episode first season next year. Stay tuned here at Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Titans as we learn it.

NightwingNightwing is easily one of the most iconic superheroes in the DC Universe (maybe even just in general) and he’s finally gearing up to hit the big screen. Dick Grayson is one of DC’s oldest characters, and as a result he has gone through major changes. The character started as the first ever Robin and has since developed his own heroic mantle as well as temporarily becoming Batman when Bruce isn’t available. He’s one of the few characters in comics audiences have seen grow up and change over time and that has led to a devoted fan base who wants to protect the character.

He’s such a fan favorite that his planned death in the 2005 event Infinite Crisis was scrapped out of fear of angry reactions. Nightwing might have the same skills as Batman, but his optimism and social abilities make him a positive character that other superheroes come to in times of crisis. So if you don’t know too much about the friendliest guy in the DC Universe, just pick up one of these books and dive in!
