After losing the two-Test series 0-2, West Indies are on the verge of conceding another whitewash against New Zealand in their ongoing tour. Trailing 0-2 in the three ODIs, they have their task cut out to salvage a consolation victory. While New Zealand are without their mainstays in form of Kane Williamson and Tim Southee, West Indies have failed as a unit. They will enter the third ODI, at Christchurch, as underdogs.
The live cricket streaming of the match will be available in India on Hotstar, while the live telecast will be available on Star Sports Select 1 and Star Sports Select 1 HD. In New Zealand, the live streaming would be available on SkyGo, along with the live telecast on Sky Sport NZ.
West Indies were winless in their last ODIs against England as well. Languishing at the ninth spot, they are in dire strait to see the return of Chris Gayle. The left-hander missed the second match of the series due to illness. In addition, Shai Hope, Kyle Hope, Evin Lewis, Jason Mohammed and skipper Jason Holder have disappointed.
From New Zealand’s perspective, Doug Bracewell and Todd Astle were the top performers in the series opener. Henry Nicholls slammed an unbeaten 83 in the second ODI and Trent Boult finished with a 7 for 34 to rattle West Indies by 204 runs in the penultimate encounter. West Indies would, at least, hope to inject some fight in the ‘dead rubber.’
